Spring Intensives

Spring Intensives is a one-week collection of learning experiences—from The Way College and for the local church. Throughout four days of classes, featuring 3 intensives to choose from, we will spend time in teachingQ&Rworship & connection.

Students will grow in areas of biblical studiestheology, and more—engaging with leading thinkers and practitioners while participating in a rich learning environment.

Each intensive will run all week, featuring 4 lectures. Join us for 1, 2, or all 3! We've thoughtfully designed Spring Intensives so that whether you join us for one or multiple, you'll get the full experience throughout the week.

Medical Ethics and the Life of the Church

It is often a challenge to pursue the good in the midst of the ethical challenges that are brought to us by medical practices today. Whether working in healthcare or making health decisions for ourselves or our families, we need to think carefully through the complex issues of our individual frailty and our responsibility to love our vulnerable neighbours, especially in the midst of a cultural context that champions autonomy as the highest good of human life. This Medical Ethics course has been designed to help Jesus’ followers think through these topics carefully. Our goal is that through this course you will gain a framework for engaging with the difficult questions that emerge from medical ethics. We will seek to help you address many of the moral problems of contemporary medical practices with Christian wisdom, care, and compassion, in a way that exalts Christ and nurtures the gift of his good creation.
